Extremely rare vintage Gucci black leather top handle bag with gold clip closure, produced in the late 1940s - early 1950s.
It features the internal label "Gucci Firenze v. Vigna Nuova Roma - v. Condotti", dating back to the period when Gucci had only its first two stores open: Florence (opened in 1921) and Rome (in 1938). During those years, production was extremely limited and strictly handcrafted, carried out in the first Florentine workshops. A unique piece that testifies to the exceptional quality of the leather and the impeccable craftsmanship of the era.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Shows minor signs of age inside, superficial micro-scratches and small signs of wear on the corners; the gold metal of the clasp shows slight loss of gilding consistent with age.
Brand: The bag features the "Gucci" brand embossed in gold inside and the label with the historical addresses. This specific type of branding was used by the Maison between the 1940s and early 1950s.
